Door handles covered in verdigras can make the whole door look scruffy so add some sparkle in time for Christmas and still have time to shop too!
Line a plastic bowl with aluminium foil and make up a soda solution (1 cup of washing soda to 4 pints of water) and completely cover the brass. Make sure each piece of brass is in contact with the foil. It will fizz and bubble...dont panic, just leave it for about 3 minutes and when you take them out they'll be as good as new!!.
Take care to protect your hands...an easy way is to tie string to each piece before placing them in the bowl and then just lift them out by the string...simple!!
