Quick Tip of the Week!

Posted Nov 25, 2006

Insulate all exposed pipes in your loft or attic by covering them with pipe insulation - effectively acting as a blanket covering for the pipes, reducing the risk of winter damage.  You can by ready-made covers if you know the diametre of the pipes, designed to easily slide over your piping.

At pipe junctions and bends, you can cut the insulation to fit round the junction, and then use strong tape - PVC tape is probably best - to hold it in place and prevent any exposure.
