Quick Tip of the Week!

Posted Nov 18, 2006

Insulating your water tanks in your loft, attic or airing cupboard helps prevent winter water damage to your property.  You should check whether your tanks are probably insulated and that the insulation surrounds them effectively.

Insulating covers for tanks are readily available in DIY stores, and should be wrapped around the tank and then tied securely.  There are also ready-made jackets - all you need to do is obtain the correct size.

If part of your tank is already insulated but some of it is exposed, it is better to replace the entire insulating cover than to attempt to path it.  A complete cover will be more effective.
