Q: Hi, we just took a wallpaper off the wall of our bedroom, to find another one, covering some plaster/cardboard wall. we kept the wall paper underneath but made a few holes in it, how can we cover and what do we have to do next ? scrapping this one too or plastering it ? painting or put a new wallpaper ? thanks for your help - Laetitia

A: Stripping wallpaper from Drywall/Plasterboard is a pain, as steaming and stripping can damage the actual wall underneath. In these situations it's usually easiest to either paper over the top, or if you are painting, put some thick lining paper up on the wall then paint that. You can fill any damage you've already done using a lightweight filler and a wet knife (no sanding required usually).
