Dropping In!

By Andy, Milton Keynes

I started to do more work from home and we found this was gradually taking over the house and there was never an empty chair or dining table to use etc etc. We didn’t want to move but something had to happen. We were refused planning to turn the garage into a study and then thought about the loft space. I was amazed when I got up there just how big it was. Soon the whole family were up there and my son took a step too far and somehow didn’t go right through but was half through the ceiling. We got him up and he was ok…panic, anger all thrown in and we went down the ladder and went to see the damage but nothing…so what did he fall through? As we tried to place the spot, our neighbour (who was a great friend thankfully) knocked as his ceiling had a gaping hole! It turned out the loft space was only closed off every two houses and we were over their house…no wonder it seemed so big! We stayed friends but the loft never got converted and I got another job!
