Our parents house is a big old place and every winter the guttering is a nightmare and need clearing and repairing. Recently my brother and I saw an advert for really tall ladders that would let us do this ourselves and we agreed the cost would be covered quickly so we would take on this task. What we didnt account for was the weight. We got these up and as each section was raised the more they were swaying in th wind. We couldnt go forward or back nor take the weight...and promptly smashed stright through two of the big bay windows! So much for economy!!
